William J. Prichard
William J. Prichard 1961-2018

William J. Prichard, 57, passed away on February 7, 2018 in the comfort of his home with his loving family at his side. He was born in Utica on July 28, 1961, the son of James and Pauline Linck Prichard. Bill was a 1979 graduate of Chadwicks High School and earned his Associates Degree from M.V.C.C in 1981.
On September 12, 1987 he was united in marriage with Nancy Stedman in St. Anthony of Padua Church in Chadwicks.
His employment included 15 years with G.E./Lockheed-Martin and most recently with Oneida Research Services in Whitesboro as their Quality Manager.
Bill loved being outdoors and spent many memorable times duck hunting with his brothers, deer hunting with the Stedman clan and skeet shooting with whomever wished to join him.
He also loved riding his motorcycle and working with his Ford tractor and brush-hog.
Bill was an accomplished cook creating many delicious meals, chili being one of his specialties, and taught his grandchildren to cook the “right way”.
He was a faithful parishioner of St. Patrick’s-St. Anthony’s Parish, served on the Sauquoit school board and religiously donated blood to the American Red Cross.
Bill is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 30 years, Nancy, his two daughters; Katie Prichard and her fiancé, Mike Kelly and Susan Prichard, his son and daughter in law; Jeff and Heather Mundrick, his two adored grandchildren; Jeffrey Mundrick II and Danielle Mundrick, his brothers; Robert and Debbie Prichard, Dave and Terri Prichard, Dan Prichard, Tom and Joan Prichard and Jim and Kathy Prichard, his mother in law; Joan Stedman, his brothers and sisters in law; Leslie Prichard, Bonnie and Doug Gehringer, Dan and Sharon Stedman, Mick and Darlene Stedman, Karen Stedman, Andy and Joan Stedman and Aimee and Tim Howard as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, James and Pauline, his sister; Sally Prichard his brother; Ted Prichard and his father in law; Francis Stedman.
Bill’s Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 10 at 9:00 at St. Patrick’s-St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Chadwicks. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Clayville in the spring.
Calling hours will be Friday, February 9 from 4-7 at the Smith Funeral Home, 3022 Oneida St. Sauquoit.
In lieu of sending flowers, Bill’s family request prayers be said and Holy Masses be offered for the repose of his soul.
