Patricia M. Hamilton, 70, passed away on February 9, 2018 at Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare. She was born on April 21, 1947 in Utica to the late Henry and Celina Bird Vanderwood and was a 1965 graduate of Sauquoit Valley Central School.
On May 31, 1972 she was united in marriage with Timothy Hamilton.
Although Pat worked at various jobs over the years, she was most proud of her accomplishments as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 45 years, Tim, her daughters; Jenifer Racquet of Utica and Karen Bowman of York, PA., her son and daughter in law; Kelly and Joyl Hamilton of Rome, her sister and brother in law; Melanie and Greg Cushman of Remsen, her grandchildren; Jefery, Patrick, Paige, Miranda, Little Kelly, Sammy, Josh, Andrew and Dylan and her great-grandchildren; Kayleb, Owyn and Natalie, her special friend Roni and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sister Sheila Swanson and her brother Bernard Vanderwood.
Pat’s family will be receiving friends and relatives today from 5-7 at the Smith Funeral Home, 3022 Oneida St. Sauquoit. Pat’s life celebration will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date.
Her family would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to the nurses at Faxton-St. Luke’s 5th floor and the nurses at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse for the exceptional care she received from them all.
