Obituary for Jon Hale

Jon Hale 1939-2018
New Hartford

Jon Hale, 79, passed away on July 9, 2018 at the St. Luke’s Home in New Hartford. He was born in Rome, N.Y on June 16, 1939, a son of the late Donald and Dorothy Tritsch Hale and received his education in Chadwicks schools.
On January 18, 1961 he was united in marriage with Lois Downs in the Chadwicks Methodist Church.
Prior to his retirement, Jon was employed with Loomis-Fargo as a courrier.
Jon loved the outdoors and enjoyed the times he spent hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife Lois, his son Donald Hale and his daughter Jessica, his son Raymond Hale and his sons Trevor, Casey, Jeremiah, Joseph and Benjamin, his son Jeffery and his wife Kandi Hale and his daughter Hunter, his daughter Amy and her husband Jim Collver and their children; David, Brighton and Caleb. He also leaves his brothers and sisters in law; James and Sharon Hale, Alan and Judy Hale, Robert and Doris Hale and Larry Hale, his sisters in law; Alice Hale and Dorothy Hale, as well as 5 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephew.
He was predeceased by his brothers; Richard and Neal Hale.
His family would like to thank the staff at the St. Luke’s Home for the compassionate care Jon received during his time there, especially Maria, Tammy and Angie.
Jon’s family will be celebrating his life at the Smith Funeral Home 3022 Oneida St. Sauquoit on Saturday, July 14 from 5-7.
Interment will be in Crown Hill Memorial Park at the convenience of the family.
