Obituary

Mark V. Orsino 1954-2019
Cassville

Mark V. Orsino, 64, of Cassville, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center.

He was born on July 25, 1954 in Utica, the son of Benjamin and Florence (Small) Orsino, Sr. and was a graduate of Sauquoit Valley Central School. Mark was employed with Hamilton College Maintenance division and most recently with Homogenous Metals for the past 30 years.

Mark was a very loving father, son and brother whose fun-loving personality made him many friends everywhere he went. He was a huge sports fan and followed the NY Yankees, NY Giants and Syracuse University. Mark was also an avid golfer. He will be missed by many, especially his children.

Surviving are his 2 most important loves of his life, daughter, Leighan and son, Joseph; uncle, Emone, whom he was caretaker to for over 35 years; brothers, Michael (Teresa) Orsino, Stephen Orsino and Philip (Carol) Orsino; sister-in-law, Robin; step brothers and sisters who were dear to him; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and aunts. He was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Benjamin Jr. and Roger and step mother, Ethel.

Mark’s family would like to extend their gratitude to Bridgewater Ambulance and St. Elizabeth’s emergency room staff.

Calling hours will be on Saturday from 1-3 pm at the Smith Funeral Home, 3022 Oneida St., Sauquoit. Interment will be in the spring at the convenience of the family.

Remembrances in Mark’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society and the American Heart Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
